Comments Thread For: Fury Plans Tight Defense, Hopes Haye Will Exchange

Tyson Fury insists he would welcome a toe-to-toe battle with David Haye on September 28th. Haye boasts a fearsome knockout record and has vowed to blow away bitter rival Fury in their heavyweight fight next month, live on Sky Sports Box Office. Fury was floored heavily in a recent win over Steve Cunningham, but remains bullish about his chances of beating Haye in a brawl. Haye often boxes off the back foot against bigger men and Fury admits he would rather stand and trade with the Londoner instead of pursuing him around the ring.

Still can't predict whether this is going to be a dull, tactical, tip-tap chess match over 12 rounds for the 'purist' or a fire-in-the-hole, artillery duel.

My guess is that both Fury and Haye will give us a 'High Noon' shootout because they're both highly-strung, proud and rate their punching power.

The Manchester crowd will be absolutely baying for a tear-up as well and that atmosphere could be a big factor on the night. Not sure Fury will be able to keep his emmotions in check and if he puts it on Haye, David will come firing straight back.

            Great fight....looking forward to it.

I believe David genuinely doesn't like Fury and realizes how limited he is and he beats him easy.

That is also how I see it.

And for what its worth, after seeing Fury trying to degrade Ruiz, I think the prime version of Ruiz would have stopped this big mouth as well.

the use of the word rival is unjust here.
