They have already fought the best and come up short in the main
These fights have been been in the pipeline for years - it is annoying that they have never happened. The fighters themselves have felt they needed a world title to get it on. Though Barker and Macklin came very close to fighting.
I'd also suggest they'd earn more money fighting each other in a big domestic dust up. It would be a shame if they never fought each other.
You can't question the British middleweights appetite to fight the best. They all have. Now they should finally fight each other. A bad fight is impossible to make between them.
I don't want to see Golovkin fights with any of them happening. It just squashes the whole thing.Last edited by Sparked_26; 08-26-2013, 06:33 AM.Comment

No questioning the appetite of any of Britain's top MWs and let's be real here, Barker and Murray are both world class MWs, just behind Martinez and GGG. This won't just be an average domestic dust up but two top level, world class boxers, elites in their division who just happen to be from the same country. They have already fought the best and come up short in the main

I'd actually like to see Murray v GGG, he is without a doubt the toughest of the British MWs and in terms of skills the most underrated. I don't think GGG would get rid of him so quick.Comment

Wonder what Hatton's side of the story is. Not a good look to turn down both Golovkin and Quillin.Comment

Exactly, they are all top class and maybe just a step behind the big two. They would be great style match ups too. Macklin and Murray's pressure vs Barker's boxing skill. I just can't see a bad fight there. Macklin has lost a momentum now but he is still evenly matched with the other two.No questioning the appetite of any of Britain's top MWs and let's be real here, Barker and Murray are both world class MWs, just behind Martinez and GGG. I agree with you to that Murray would provide a decent test for Golovkin as he is bigger and stronger than the other two. But he'd still be a heavy underdog.
From my point of view I'd love to go to any of the match ups between the top British middles - they'd be great events.Comment
