Comments Thread For: Schaefer Eyes Omar Figueroa vs. Juan Diaz in Texas

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has big plans in store for undefeated lightweight contender Omar Figueroa (22-0, 17KOs). Last month, the 23-year-old boxer captured the WBC's interim title with a sensational twelve round unanimous decision over Nihito Arakawa. Figueroa will become the full champion when Adrien Broner, the WBA's champion at 147-pounds, officially walks away from the division.

Omar looked pretty vulnerable in his last fight. I give Baby Bull a shot at taking that '0'.

Diaz is no longer at 100% but his much greater skill/experience and what's left of his once world class toughness will be too much for Figueroa. It'll be a FOTY candidate though.

2 much Figueroa power vs a a guy in his 1st 2 bouts bk that was "pudgy" & IMO, won't stand up 2 the power, even w/his complete lack of Defense...

                    Honestly if your diaz,,,

take another tune-up,,,, possibly vs rocky juarez on shobox or FNF

then travel across the pond to fight burns,,, you lose, its cool because you can still land a
                    a omar fig fight,,

but take the omar fig fight now, and you lose, your pretty much done,,,

                    get cash and stack it

                    1. juarez
                    2. burns $$$$
                    3. fig or possibly bigger fights if you beat burns

                    Comment

                    Working...
