Schaefer is just pushing Russell Jr straight out of the frying pan into the fire. How do you go from matching him up with bums to a guy with 55 wins and 47 KOs, who just KO'd someone (Schaefer) saw as a future P4P great. Makes no sense but if Russell Jr accepts more power to him. Wouldn't blame him if he declined though. Too big of a leap.

Russell was a fighter that I took a liking to, but then the injuries and TBAs began to wear me down. He's fought a bunch of nobodies, and now he has a title shot at his feet. Hopefully he takes it and makes the most of it. This is a winnable fight for him, but I think his chin will get tested.Comment

Russell is overdue to face a live body and Gonzalez is not exactly Mikey Garcia. Russell will win.Schaefer is just pushing Russell Jr straight out of the frying pan into the fire. Last time I checked GRJ is a free agent, so GB could give 2 shyts about him.
He works with them, not for them.Comment
