Now this is a duck. Here we have Thurman, an undefeated on fire prospect, who'll take any challenge in sight, and Guerrero needing to get back on his feet, yet he's avoiding him. At the same time Guerrero has no problem calling out Ortiz whose barely fought since 2011, coming off two losses ( three if you count DWTS), one breaking his jaw. Guerrero is a self righteous nobody who should be forgotten as quickly as he got his fame

Guerrero doesn't need that fight with Thurman. Thurman has beaten no real top fighters. It's all upside for Thurman fight if he got Guerrero. There's a ton of risk and nothing gained for Guerrero fighting Thurman. Guerrero should rest up and fight the winner of Bradley/Marquez. OR fight Maidana who you previously cancelled a fight with due to shoulder surgery. Fight Maidana after he knocks Broner out. Matthysse can fight the Prodnikov after Matthysse destroys Garcia and Provo destroys Alvarado. After Pacquiao destroys Rios early on, PAC can fight Mayweather after Floyd gets KO'd by Canelo. The Canelo can have a showdown with Gennady!

To think Guerrero is scared to fight Thurman is ridiculous. The Ghost has proven that he'll fight anyone. To be honest Thurman hasn't earned the right to fight Guerrero yet. Ghost earned the right to choose his next opponent. Why the hell would his team want to fight Thurman? If Ghost wins, it does absolutely nothing for his career. Guerrero vs Ortiz is the fight that should happen.

It's not as if he suffered damage as a result from a beatdown from Floyd. He was on the losing end of a lopsided ud where he was just outboxed. I think Thurman would be a perfect fight for him right now.
