Why doesn't Andre ward want to prove he's great?

I don't believe Ward is about legacy. Nor do I believe he is about money.
He fights in a bum city, against bums and has no interest in fighting big money fights in the boxing capital. High gate + ppv + big names = $$$
Ward is just drifting by and he will become irrelevant at the rate he is going. Even HBO refused to have one of his proposed fights against some can. He even got his belt stripped. All signs of irrelevant just like the other Dirrell.
I actually don't mind Ward v. JCC Jr. At least it isn't some no name (sitonis? Some shyt) even if Jr. Is living on his father's fame.Comment

The Tournament was a Gift and a Curse for Ward! The Gift was that he showed his dominance during the Tournament and would go on to become a Top 3 P4P Fighter by most
The Curse is that he it basically left him with really nothing left to prove far too early in his career to the point that it is really hard to find a legit opponent, one that will present a LEGIT CHALLENGE and not some guy that is coming off of a KO and the Casual Clueless Fans are not on that Fighters Bandwagon
I do think Ward coming off of a Injury deserves at least one Warmup Fight considering the 2-3 years stretch in which he was fighting nothing but Top Contenders and Champions in his Division
But I think it is actually great for Ward that while he was out more Contenders have emerged especially at 175 and even at 168 with Edwin Rodriguez...
That being said I still don't give any of them a ***in shot at beating Ward at his best. Their only chance would be maybe catching him off injury and hoping for some rust
But then again the TS is a Kessler fan who been bitter Towards Ward Ever Since His Fighter Got His A$$ Kicked By Ward...actually most of Ward haters are bitter Froch and Kessler who hate the fact that neither of them will ever be considered better fighters then WardLast edited by sicko; 08-25-2013, 12:57 AM.Comment
