Russell remind me alot of Meldrick Taylor. He's loaded with talent but can't seem to put it all together. He has a long way to go before he's even close to being ready for Mares.

It's possible he doesn't, but once again we have a fighter that's talking smack but sitting on the sidelines. If Russell feels so strongly about his skills that could of been him getting all the glory, not Gonzalez. Now Mares is a cracked chin and not nearly worth what he was 24 hours ago.

Russell needs to fight someone. Now beating Mares doesn't mean quite as much as before, unless Mares bounces back and beats Gonzalez in a rematch or goes on another run with 2-3 good wins in a row. We'll see.

These fighters think they can talk themselves to the top,who do they think they're fooling.It's ironic how it comes right after a loss too,Both johny/Mares Mikey,Rigo & anybody proven with skill would expose put a beating on this fool.

I've seen Russell fight and he is definitely one of the best little fighter, I would see Rigo/Russell go at it.
