Should be a great fight man you gotta love it when writers are calling your man a cross between Holyfield and Tyson you can't really go wrong there unless he fights too long LOL.....
.Anyway should be a great fight if Calzaghe can withstand Lacys initial pressure over the first 6 or so it should end up being a great fight that could go either way but I look for lacy to prove his heart and Chin in this fight and show he is here to stay for years to come. Can't ****ing wait for this fight!!!

Uhh, Calzaghe didn't throw a single jab in the entire 12 rounds of that fight! He just punched for three minutes every round, and gave severely weight-drained, unprepared Eubank a total battering.Originally posted by MickyHattonhe outboxed Chris EubankComment

Lol! Watch Reid's last few fights before he fought Lacy, he looked absolutely Horrible and I was suprised that he lasted one round with Lacy and did as well as he did (based on his last few performances, which is real bad). If that honestly was Lacy's best win, we have a ****ty fight on our hands (what with Calzaghe being so washed-up). And Reid isn't a "Big, big puncher", where did that come from?Originally posted by MickyHatton“Look, Robin Reid hadn’t been down. Big, big puncher, and Lacy went through him,”
Oh and Lacy wouldn't of stood much against the Reid of 96 and first half of 97.Comment

Originally posted by oldgringoThis is really going to be the deciding factor in my eyes. Lacy is just the younger, stronger, hungrier guy.
I think Calzaghe will be very much in this fight for the first 7-8 rounds, but Lacy's determination and youth will come through. Lacy usually picks up the pressure in the middle areas of the fight and his good accumulation of damage will overwhelm (an overused term when describing what Lacy will do to people yes) Joe C.
9th round TKO for Jeff Lacy in a good action fight.
...IMO your analysis is a pretty good bet. I do feel that Calzaghe will have his moments and may even hurt Lacy early when they are trading. Eventually Lacy will wear him down in a brutal war. The fans are going to get their moneys worth.Comment

Power: edge to Lacy
Handspeed: edge to Joe
Chin: edge to Joe
Defense: edge to Lacy
Combos: edge to Joe
Stamina: edge to Lacy
Strength: edge to Lacy
This is a tough fight to call. Anytime you have two undefeated fighters who are the best that either has ever fought, then really everyone is guessing. Lacy's confidence seems to be at an all time high, and the way those power shots seemed to flow against Reid and Pemberton were just beautiful. I'd favor him because of that. But those guys are not Calzaghe, and Sheika rocked Lacy pretty good with a little right hand that Lacy didn't see. Joe could easily do the same thing since he can fire off quicker shots, and would certainly be able to follow up on it better than Sheika, with his swarming combinations. Lacy's chin hasn't been tested as much as Joe's, but I think we all know that if Joe doesn't get caught cold in the early rounds, then Lacy is going to get hit quite a bit, and by a guy with pretty decent pop, and someone who can put on a burst of power punches like nobody Lacy has fought. Plus, the crowd and the atmosphere is going to be insane. This is tough, tough, tough to pick.
I lean towards Lacy, simply because of his youth, really. And because of how accurate he has been lately shooting those hooks and power shots. This could certainly be FOTY.Comment
