I don't know how many fights Hopkins has left but it would be cool to see him in with Kovelev before he retires.

I agree with a lot of what you've said but I don't think Bhop is asking for this fight. He is discrediting Kov so when he doesn't fight him it don't seem so bad.B hop has everything to beat kovalev, but due to being older , like in the dawson fight, he will be weaker. He cant beat kovalev who is too strong and fresh.
B hop will have to out box that guy for 12 rounds No way .he is asking for a kovalev fight . Beat the hit guy before he gets super hot. This is biting
Off more then you can chew this time.Comment

Yeah I don't think Hopkins watched a lot of Kovalev fights or else he wouldn't say that. Not only is he not flat footed but he would be the most mobile and busiest opponent Hopkins has faced since Calzaghe.I realize Popkins is getting old but does he relize that this isn't the 1920's of his youth and that we have more to go on than just newspaper reports? Trying to compare Kovalev to flatfooted guys like Pavlik or Cloud is silly.
One thing that makes Kovalev so interesting is he is not that and unlike most punchers can deliver power punches in combination without having to sit down on his shots. He's very mobile and light on his feet
Campillo is world class, he would have been WBA and IBF champ without the robberies in the Shumenov and Cloud fights.Comment

complete mischaracterisation of kovalev's style. i hope hopkins doesn't actually believe he's flat footed or remotely similar to pavlik, because he decides to take the fight based on bad intel, he'll probably be forcefully retired by the russian krusher.Comment
