Well, its actually pretty basic arithmetic. If you've ever put four quarters together to make a dollar, you should have a pretty strong grasp on the concept.

But I work with 4 and 5 year olds at a treatment center so it's no big deal to explain it. You see, in ever dollar, there is one hundred cents. Each quarter is twenty-five cents. I agree. And the odds favor Pacquiao in a rematch anyway. If I handed this over to a nerdy, greasy haired statistician who knew nothing of boxing or what the numbers represented, he'd see this. Four events... Result 1: Null (25%), Result 2: Win for P (25%), Result 3: Win for P (25%), and Result 4: Win for M (25%).

Thus should there be a 5th event, There would be a 1 in 4 chance of a draw, a 1 in 4 chance M wins, but a 1 in 2 chance that P wins again. So if we want the 4th meeting to be last because we are ready for them to move on... sounds good. But anyone who says that there shouldn't be a 5th fight simply because Marquez established himself as the better warrior is willfully and conveniently choosing to ignore the first 3 fights. In their mind, this would only be their first rematch and given the KO, completely unnecessary.

I was talking predictability. And yes, that is math. There is an entire industry built around probability in boxing. It is called the ******** industry. And if you're at all interested, Marquez stated he wanted the knockout before all four fights. In the first three, he didn't get it, so he graciously accepted when Pacquiao offered him a rematch. I'm fine if they never even look at each other again. I'm only saying that for Marquez to lose twice in a row then call it quits after a win is a Charlie Zelenoff move.

Barrera even when Marquez beat him is better than Alvarado/Provodnikov combined. Hero is obviously new to this sport.
