Why is SamPeeta on this? Are you testing people?

        The answer is Floyd

Mayweather is one of the Top 5 defensive fighters in the history of the sport. No Toney is mot a better defensive fighter. Not even close and I love Toney.

I think Mayweather's defense is probably better, but later in his career he's developed a little bit of a pot-shot style, which I think favours Toney, seeing as he has more power.

In his prime though, Toney was very hard to hit. If not as hard as Mayweather, then close to it.

Sam Peter outboxed prime James Toney twice. ATG.

And bull**** to anyone says Toney wasn't prime. He didn't have to lose all the Burger King weight at heavyweight, that was the best shape he was ever in.

toney is a favorite of mine... a prime toney doing his thing was a work of art.

the way he rolled punches and countered was perfect. talk about TALENT. my vote is for toney.... BUT by the slightest margin.

Prime Toney was a beast. He was obviously weight drained to bits at any weight below heavyweight, so when his body was finally able to be at its natural weight, he was amazing. Heavyweight was always his division.

Unfortunately for him, Sam Peter, ATG was the undisputed hottest commodity at the time, and he got outboxed by the legend.

Toney was a great defensive fighter.

Mayweather is great defensive point scorer.
