Lucas made Maravilla Martinez at 160 feel his punches at sparring without even trying. Martinez said that only pride kept him from bending in pain after a body shot. You think that at 147 boxers will just shrug off Matthysse's power shots? No, they wont. 140 and 147 arent that different. Hell, the better fighters are at 140. Maybe the most competitive division these days.

I can think of 5 guys at 147 that would give Matthysse all he can handle. Theres nothing wrong with being the best 140lber in the world. He could stay there and be dominate if he gets passed Garcia. If he moves up and faces the top 147lbers he will be completely outsized and I don't think he's a good enough all around boxer to over come that. Im not totally convince Matthysse has a good enough chin because he can be hit.

Still yet to see an opponent that did not taste the camvas and or got ko'd or tko'd When Mathysse naild' em. Alexander, Maidana, Bradley, Marquez and Paquiao, Berto, Ortiz etc. doubt have more power. and can not take Mathysses punch in my opinion.

Don't be surprised if either of these guys gets knocked out. I said it all along, this is a 50/50 fight. For you blowers who think Lucas is the best fighter in the world, you'll change your tunes come Sept. 14th as an EVEN fight takes place.

Fifty-Fifty

This is a very competitive fight. Both fighters have power, they're both young and they both know what's at stake. These guys have been fighting for nearly fifteen years and they are all around solid boxers. I have a lot of respect for both of them. Matthysse has tremendous power but both Judah and Alexander showed that power can be dealt with. Can Matthysse's chin take a flush left hook from Garcia? Who is stronger in the late rounds? No one has ever backed up Lucas, can Danny do it? What about stage fright? Nervousness at the beginning of a fight can be deadly? What makes this fight such a thriller is that no one could possibly have all the answers. Matthysse has a lot of respect for Garcia; the media has been attributing lots of lies to Lucas concerning Danny. I speak perfect Spanish and have been watching interviews that Matthysse gave to the Argentinian media and in each one of them he shows respect for Danny. I give Lucas the edge just because he respects Danny and he will be cautious. Danny's father has called Lucas a bum. Could the difference in the fight be about respect?

I agree with the power and yes Matthysse can win if he catches Garcia., for me Garcia has perfect timing and decent power himself and the longer the fight goes on the better it is for Garcia so I am looking forward to this one, but I'm rooting for the underdog in this one. 2 massive fights on the night for true boxing fans.

Garcia looks pretty bad the last fight especially at the final rounds, so..... a longer fight it's pretty bad for Garcia. He's timming is only for people whom don't have power, lucas has it and will hurt Danny, Garcia will be KO.
