He came into the Trout fight weighing 153. He should be fine at 152, plus the fact that he may gain 15lbs over night. If there were a clause saying that he couldn't be over 154 on fight night, then I would say Mayweather was wrong. Canelo has the size advantage no matter how you look at it.
Is Canelo's inactivity a myth?

And the real reason behind this thread comes out. If you can't see that Canelo has stamina issues watching him fight than I don't know what to tell you. The Trout fight like someone mentioned already he would take rounds off and than throw two to three hard punches to try and steal the round. Once he starts getting countered by Floyd and seeing it is difficult to get inside he will throw even less.Comment

Im sure him being ONLY 22 yrs old is not as hard to cut weight, then compared to a 30 yr old lol. Hahah quit it with the stamina issuesComment

I did not know Canelo was fighting Pacquiao.Comment

The first 2 to 3 rounds I thought Canelo looked completely out classed against Trout. Winging hard shots from the outside, missing badly, and not cutting off the ring. If he looks out classed early against Floyd we might as well call it a day. You spot Floyd 3 rounds and it's over.Comment

you are wrong .... for one, just look at Canelo's previous fight to prove that you are wrong. Canelo had stamina issues and was 22 yrs old!Comment

No, it's not.
The fact that you try to play it off as a myth while simultaneously employing the use of compubox numbers (which are typically only utilized by n00bs and morons) against opponents of questionable quality (where he'll look better) is a testament to the fact that you don't know WTF you're talking about.
Besides, you're looking at (probably erroneous) numbers over the course of an entire fight wherein Canelo is always active as hell early and most likely puts up the largest portion of his numbers within the first six rounds. If you want this to be a conversation purely based on numbers then you should watch the last 6 rounds of his last 3-4 fights and then crunch those numbers to come up with the averages thrown and landed.
That would make for a far more interesting conversation than this.Comment

Hasn't stopped him winning and nobody has come home over the top of him in the home run , Canelo is a deceiving stalker that is very patient and has real good boxing skills , no wonder GGG says he is the best fighter he has been in with , 20lb advantage over Floyd is a nice advantage to have in a snappy fast puncher like Canelo .Comment

There is a difference between a weight advantage where the guy looks in great shape, has a high work-rate and shows no stamina issues compared to what we all saw versus Trout. Versus Trout, in many rounds Canelo fought for 30 seconds of the round.Hasn't stopped him winning and nobody has come home over the top of him in the home run , Canelo is a deceiving stalker that is very patient and has real good boxing skills , no wonder GGG says he is the best fighter he has been in with , 20lb advantage over Floyd is a nice advantage to have in a snappy fast puncher like Canelo .
Another guy was Rios who used to fight weight drained at 135 and win but it showed that he wasn't all there at that weight and nearly cost him a few fights.
Floyd's camp has already come forward saying that "we are aware of many weaknesses that Canelo has and Floyd is going to take advantage of them" ..... if you are well aware of so many weaknesses then why the CW?Comment
