On Tuesday evening WBO/WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (12-0) visited with us on the most recent edition of BoxingScene Radio.

The two time Olympic Gold Medal winner has been in the news lately as he has been waiting for his next fight. Rigondeaux defeated top 5 pound for pound fighter Nonito Donaire in April, but Top Rank and HBO haven't made the Cuban's return a priority.

If he was 24 he would have all the time but his prime will go away at some point and no one is giving him some limelight while he is on top of his game. Maybe he should try to get a keep active fight but he deserves more than that after what he did.

he'll be stuck with nothing until he produces some excitement
he needs the right opponent for that, and Agbeko fits the bill
fans, promoters, and networks have no interest in a ballet
get in a good action fight and the fanfare will be there

****ing Arum doesn't deserve Rigondeaux. He's one most skilled boxers and he completely neglects him. I don't think anyone is expecting him to headline any ppv event but he deserves to be on good events. This really sucks for him, seems a little like Whittaker when he was considered too good for his own good.
