I'm reading talk about the Sturm fight being in Germany, not sure how that would happen.

I don't know. Imo England v Germany in London with a British world champ and Sky promotion during the Christmas holidays would do numbers.

I just don't understand how it seems Sturm can call the shots despite being the challenger. Maybe he can't, but that's the way it's being discussed. Matchroom want the fight in London.

Sturm is huge in Germany. Much more popular than Barker in England.

He's got a TV deal and regularly sells out indoor arenas. If this fight goes to purse bids I would imagine that his team has more clout.

Probably something like Sturms people had mad options on Geale and now Gary Shaw has options on Barker & Sturms people probably have a piece of that action.

All the promoters share the wealth while the boxers work their hearts & guts out.

But Barker v Murray is a moot point unless Barker gets past Sturm & then Geale.

Murray should fight Andy Lee in Liverpool or Manchester. Now that would sell out.

Murray wasn't at all interested when Golovkin was offering him a title shot. But now he's very willing to get one against Barker.

Isn't it funny how that works?
