I don't think that was the main reason but Paul definitely was a high risk, low reward opponent. Those types of fighters tend to have a more difficult road to the top.

GTFO!!! Rigo is a typical cuban fighter, and its nothing wrong with that. But What Floyd does, cannot be taught. Its so many things he does, that I dont see any fighter doing. He can feel when his opponents are going to move. His range is excellent. He just moves like a magnet when he knows your going to move. His feints, which Rigo only uses with a jab. He throws the right hand at Ghost, then ducks underneath the left hand. But he ONLY ducks, when he knows the left is coming. He looks into Ghost's eyes, and knows when Ghost will counter with it. RARELY did he throw the right hand and duck when the left WASNT on its way. He probably did duck about 3 or 4 times the whole fight. Rigo is a great fighter but I put him on the level of a Lara, skillwise. He isnt better than Ward. Ward is probably the first defensive fighter of this era, that really added offense to his game. Ward is very violent, aggressive, and he throws combinations and looks to do harm to his opponents. People lie about Ward being boring, but if you watch his fights, that guy is CRAZY-violent. I think Floyd is better than All of them, and smarter. But Ward is more complete as far as offense, and defense. Aggression and patience.

True. If he was at 147, I think a lot of those bigger names would be forced to fight him at one point or another and I think he would do quite well.

He impressed me in that Donaire fight. I never thought anyone could make Nonito look slow and one dimensional but he managed to.

There's nothing typical about Rigondeaux. He throws with harmful intentions too. He has great speed, range and boxing ability. His fighting is second to none and whether it is learned from experience or natural, he know what every fighter is going to do and is ready for it more than pretty much any other fighter, including Floyd.

I had him beating Nonito from the day the fight was signed. I didn't think it would be as lopsided. Rigo is like one of the 80's wrestlers that can't do mic work so he has a manager. Rigo needs freddie blassie or paul bearer.

Well, learning english certainly wouldn't hurt, lol.

He really does need to work on that. Pacquiao, Cotto, JMM and Alvarez seemed to have understood that.

Rigo and Uncle Rodge should get on the bandwagon.

Wouldn't you love to somehow see a fight between him and Floyd at 140 or 147? That would be awesome.

I will say this now with rigo's skill and ability if he fought in any weight class he would beat 99% of them and if he was a 147 fighter he would control 140-154.
