No its not... You say that like its guaranteed to happen...

Taking the fact that Matthysse is aware of the left hook into mind, as well as the fact Matthysse has shown a more than sturdy chin n u don't know whether or not Garcia can even hurt him

      That's not a thorough examination, that's just a guess

Exactly... It's either "Matthysse couldn't beat Judah, and Garcia destroyed Judah" or "Garcia is gonna time him with a left hook and stop him"

        1. Judah and Garcia have nothing in common at all (except maybe a good left hand counter, but even still they are completely different kinds of counters)... Triangle theories = rookie moves

        2. They are counting on the unknown... Whether or not Garcia can seriously hurt Matthysse is an unanswered question, though Matthysse's past fights show that there's a more than solid chance he can't... It's still a possibility, but they tout it as if it already happened in their first fight

Never seen an actual analytical breakdown in favor of Garcia yet

Mike Dallas has just as decorated an amateur career as Danny Garcia does, #1. His professional career hasn't been spectacular, but most aren't ready to write him off so quickly as you are. His father passed away right before the Matthysse fight. Not making excuses but it is something to consider.

Peterson is still regarded as one of the best in the division, beat Holt, Khan, and had a tough fight with Victor Ortiz, who despite what NSB will tell you, actually isn't a terrible fighter, not even close to it. And most people feel Peterson won that fight

None of this is relevant to my original point. I never tried comparing each fighters resumes to presume on that alone who is the better fighter.

You don't even need to do that for this fight, it's an easy style matchup prediction. Lucas is your typical boxer-puncher, ala Miguel Cotto except with more non-wasted movement, feints, and two-fisted power. Garcia is more of a flat-footed, poor-mans Marquez, except he doesn't have JMM's explosive combinations during his counter opportunities. He likes to load up on single shots, hoping that his opponents head is where he thinks it is.

Garcia also doesn't set up his offense nearly as well as Matthysse does, and Garcia also leaves himself open routinely for straight right hands.

Ric-Dic made an ignorant point earlier, claiming that because Morales is more technical than Matthysse, Lucas can't possible take advantage of any possible openings that Danny gives him. Pro tip: Lucas has fasters hands than Danny, #1. and #2, Mike Dallas has faster hands than Danny, and Lucas timed his jab perfectly, a punch Danny doesn't throw nearly as well or as fast.

You're delusional. Matthysse has been working his left hook not s right hook. He's had his right hand glued to his face. He's aware of the left hook, why the fk would he throw a right hook? He uses the straight right and you know the fastest way to a point? A straight line.

I said nothing about a right hook....Lucas loves to shoot that str8 right to the body....if he's properly prepared to take or avoid the punch remains to be seen.....Swift will take Lucas's ring IQ to trial...I see you have trouble accepting the fact that Swift can win this fight...that's delusional my dude

Remember when the Peterson/Matthysse fight was 50/50 going in, with like half the board picking Lamont to win by easy UD?

                    Yeah. Me too.

Good thesis. I like to keep it simple. Lucas is not levels above Garica period and I think he is wild enough for someone like Garcia who has underrated sharpshooting skills when it comes to landed those counters. He threads those shots in the middle of chaos and he does it well. It will come down to who the subtle things and not so much the wild haymakers. I see Garcia landing the kind of shots that make Lucas more gun-shy than he has had to be in the past. I have Garcia in a dogfight victory decision.
