At ww maybe, but he had power and was stopping people at his natural weight class. And really, if every time you step in the ring you win, people are gonna want to see you fight. You don't need a triple digit iq to realize that.

What do you mean? Shane and Oscar were stopping people LW too left and right but Oscar didnt get truely big until he fought Whitaker, Chavez and Trinidad. Then Shane didnt get big til he fought Oscar.

They were all welterweight fights they got big off of when they were monsters in the lower weight classes. Chavez was really the last great lower weight cash cow because he was a mexican legend. Oscar got big off destroying him.

Whitaker kept winning and hes greater then Floyd IMO and he was never as big a cash cow as Manny or Floyd.

Oscar made Floyd a crossover mainstream success and after that Floyds mouth has down the rest. He talks so much crap people want to see him lose Its not rocket science. And even his last fight with Guerrero wasnt as successful as everybody thought he needs a great opponent to make him great. its simple math.
