Floyd is so far above any other athlete in this sport, that he is quite literarily making a mockery of it. He is the reason I started watching boxing, and is the only reason it isn't a dead sport. Ring iq is unprecedented, talent is once in a generation, I just want the haters to realize that he is the savior of the sport.

floyd is definitely not keeping boxing alive by himself. there was boxing before mayweather, and there will surely be boxing after mayweather. but yeah, he's the best of our generation and his ring iq and athleticism is unbelievable.

Obviously I can't literally prove it, but pacman is using peds. Increased punching power as he moved up in weight, head growing like he's ducking Barry bonds, so I don't consider him relevant in this discussion. And UFC isn't a sport so I don't know why you would bring it up. I'd pay to watch death row inmates fight to the death, but that doesn't make it a sport. Mma isn't a threat to boxing. It is a novelty.
