Who am I to insult a guy for taking the fights that pay the most money? And speaking of fans, a ton more people want to see something like Barker vs Murray in the UK than Barker vs Golovkin. Why should Barker deny public demand? That's a fight that's been brewing for a while now. And speaking as a fan for myself, I rather see a competitive fight between Barker and Sturm/Murray over a Golovkin-Barker blowout. If you prefer mismatches over competitive fights, that's your prerogative.

Plus I think duck is being overused here. Barker barely won a belt a couple days ago and people are already screaming duck before any negotiation has even happened. It's ridiculous.

This is Darren fcuking Barker we're talking about, am i the only one who saw the 400 person crowd on saturday that they fought in front of? This is getting ridiculous, huge money?
Exactly, nobody gives a damn about Barker in the US so people would barely give a damn about Golovkin vs Barker.

You just sound like barker fan who's afraid to to see him get fcuked up against GOlovkin. Wh wh why should he fight golovkin? because we needs to see the best fight the best. Whenever a fan starts talking about money, its only because they dont want to see a fighter they like get KO'd. Hearns has been saying this way before sats fight, this is nothing new. He said he would duck golovkin and he;s sticking to his word, and for some reason fans like you are loving it. Huge money? is this some kind of joke? Barker wont even get paid to as much to fight in the UK as he would to be GOlovins B-side on HBO in the US. If he fights Murray, then cool, but he wont anytime soon. We have sturm coming up instead, yayyyyyy

fuck the money, tired of fighters making excuses not to fight
Martinez is MW champ, but he's old and on the way out
now's the time for the other titlists to be fighting for the top spot
wish Quillin and Barker would just face GGG and stop bitching
don't mind Barker-Sturm in the meantime, but GGG has guys shook

Why would I be afraid? I don't give a fuck if he gets fuck ed up. I already said that he would. Barker isn't the best. It's not best vs best.

The only Golovkin middleweight fights I really want to see are against Martinez and Quillin. Otherwise, whatever. The Golovkin sitiuation is somewhat similar to the Klitschko Bros. If you take them out, there are better and more competitive fights to be made in the division.

And if Golovkin is worth a lot like you claim, it would be big money, and there you go. It would meets Hearns requirements and it'll happen. Hearn didn't say no. The money met Macklin's and Dibella's money demands, and it happened after all your naysaying. Same would happen with Barker.

Lets not beat around the bush here. HBO bought the Barker/Geale fight for a reason. I guarantee they will have no interest in showing Barker/Sturm. Hearn has a decision to make here, start making plans to fight golovkin or you will not be on HBO again.

Hearn plans on talking to HBO again but he is not going to be towing a line they will like.

Russian Crussian, are you also this desperate to watch the mismatch between Rigo vs whatever else currently passes as second best in his division out of the sake of having best vs best? I don't even recall you being all this charged up for Donaire vs Rigo. I remember at the time you didn't even care if it happened because you thought it would stylistically be an ugly fight, best vs best be dammed.

That is the annoying part, some people are not directly saying no to fighting Golovkin (some definitely are though) , instead they are asking for paydays which are clearly above themselves as fighters as an excuse for delaying or milking there titles for as long as possible.

If Quillin or Martinez don't fight Golovkin who can he fight? Guys like Murray, Barker, Geale are all fights which are reputation builders for GGG, meanwhile each of them get a shot at his belts but none of them seem even remotely interested in a damn title shot.

The promoters don't even have faith in there own god damn fighters, it's so damn pathetic. Step up and face the best in your division, stop using Sturm to milk money. By your standards Golovkin can't face anyone except Martinez or Quillin because everyone else is a "miss-match".

No one is running away from Golovkin and no one is scared of him. Golovkin has proven nothing thus far other than the fact that he can beat a bunch of journeymen. Martinez is not running. Quillin is not running. Stevens is not running. And Barker is not running. His promoter said he is going to fight his mandatory, which he must do to keep the belt he just won. He also wants to make as much money as he can for his fighter, which is the goal of every promoter, including Golovkin's. If Golovkin wants a fight against one of the best fighters in the world, all he has to do is move up eight pounds. Ward will fight him in his next fight without hesitation. However, Golovkin himself said it will be two to three years before he is ready to move up to face Ward. Yet, he is willing to go 154 now to face Mayweather or Alvarez. That tells me a lot about who is afraid of who.

I remember when all the amateur boxing experts on this message board were claiming that Margarito was feared by every welterweight in the world, including Mayweather. Then Paul William kicked his ass and Mosley KO'd him. All of a sudden, the only person who was afraid of him was Mayweather, who didn't fight him while he was retired for 2.5 years. Golovkin is no different. He will be exposed as soon as he steps in the ring with a quality opponent.

You and others should stop riding Golovkin's nuts as if he is the greatest thing since sliced bread because he hasn't proven anything thus far fighting stiffs, has beens and never was's.

It's easy to get impatient with the current situation at MW. Once Barker has beaten Sturm, then we can start setting expectations for Barker/GGG. Let's just hope that Sturm doesn't get the W or else we'll have to wait MUCH longer. If Sturm had fought GGG when he was supposed to, the MW division would probably look a lot different. GGG would've probably fought Macklin/Murray/Geale already.
