Not at all. Lucian Bute took forever to step up and when he did he got destroyed, on the contrary KOvalev fought a young champion (Cleverly) and completely blew him out of the water.

Oh, and I didn't even mention KOvalev fights on the road. Bute stayed in his backyard 99% of his career.

this is highly disrespectful to Carl Froch.. Froch would smoke this fool in 5 rounds... the guy exposed Cleverly who has fought nothing but bums and people are all over his hyped up d1ck

Seriously Kovalev is a decent robotic puncher but he's nothing special

Heck Adonis Stevenson would knock this guy out

I know right? How dare people think that a career LHW would beat a career SMW.

Oh, I see it now, that's excuse people will use once KOvalev gives him the same treatment he gave Cleverly. Hell Froch would really retire after that

Well Froch would obviously be at a huge disadvantage at light heavy. So it's a bit of a skewed match-up.

I still can't see anyone knocking Froch out though.

Darnell boone tkoed Stevenson, Sergey TKOED boone is 2/3 rounds.

I DONT WANT FROCH TO BE in a 10000 mile radius to this guy, and as you know I a froch fan.

Great fight on paper and I would love to see that!!!!!!

That said, my guess goes to Kovalev but my brain sides with the Cobra.

It's so hard to pick against him on the run he's having.

Darnell Boone dropped Kovalev too in their first fight. It went 8 rounds and Kovalev won a split decision.

Anyway, unless Kovalev drops to 168 which seems unlikely this will remain a fantasy fight.

Golovkin v Froch much more likely down the line.

Took forever to step up? He nearly killed Barrio who is better than anyone Kovalev has ever beat.

I favor Kovalev by the way but stopping Cleverly (something he was supposed to do) is not equal to beating Froch

Have not seen enough of Kovalev against good opposition to say how he would do against a proven world class fighter like Froch.

so, he still won and is a lot better fighter now, hence why he tkoed boone is in a blink of a eye.

Yet Adonis lost in 2 rounds.
