the double standards on NSB are always interesting, especially when floyd and broner are involved.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 08-19-2013, 07:30 AM.Comment

There aren't double standards. Broner knee'd Paulie mid-fight, trash talked about how he stole his girlfriend after the fight, everything he did was just totally uncalled for.
Sergei got spat on when he walked in, was constantly boo'd, has his national anthem boo'd, and all he did was a hip thrust and then a universal f-u to the crowd... they deserved it...
For once Dunn just please shut up unless you know what you're on about.Comment

Yes indeed, Dunn. Here's an example.....its one of your racist chums making a nob of himself with his double standards(you probably didnt see it tho...never do).
STAX doesnt want to be a closet racist, he would just rather be blatant with it.

You justify one and not the other. Either both actions are bad or both actions are not. The crowd deserved it-ok.There aren't double standards. Broner knee'd Paulie mid-fight, trash talked about how he stole his girlfriend after the fight, everything he did was just totally uncalled for.

You remind me of another poster that said they hated trash talk but it was ok for Carl Froch because his was "intelligent". You either like it or you don't.Comment

The thread is about double standards. I didn't say or imply anything about ignorant opinions. If this is what STax on Deck believes take it up with him. But the opinions expressed in the post, while ridiculous, are not double standards.
A double standard would be what T18z did in the post above, justifying Kovalev's actions while criticizing Broner's.Comment

Did a crowd boo Broners national anthem? No. Did Kovalev knee the other fighter? No.
The situations are not the same, so the context of the actions are not the same either, don't be so ignorant. Double standards works when situations and actions are equal or at least similar.

In the Broner fight the crowd absolutely booed him. He absolutely was called all kinds of names. I don't know about spit-did Kovavlev say he was spat on? Paulie trashed talked him all during the lead up and during the fight.Sergei got spat on when he walked in, was constantly boo'd, has his national anthem boo'd all he did was a hip thrust and then a universal f-u to the crowd... they deserved it...
EIther you find reasons for both guys or you don't. Its really simple.Comment

Circumstances aren't the same or even similar enough, sorry bro.
