When this was posted in the Russian social network group dedicated to Golovkin, Kovalev himself wrote the following comments (I translate them into English):
"- Abel is over the top))) Come to earth. There were many sparring sessions and each sparring went differently. But I can say for sure that Gena is very tough and it's truly hard to box with him"
And then TomLoeffler1 -"this was taken out of context-Abel was very complimentary toward Kovalev-he beat up everybody in sparring except GGG"Comment

Kovalev is a more complex fighter than GGG imo, and hits harder...Comment
