Barker, Murray, Macklin, and Lee have been talking about having fights between each other for ages now. Barker with a belt now will move things along for those fights to finally happen. Lots of money to be made. Golovkin's odds of fighting them soon has just dwindled dramatically.

He does have a big list for a guy who's damn young.
He'll own the British boxing scene
I suppose that's the way it is when you're the son of Barry Hearn.

He was born to follow in his footsteps, most likely.

He's done very well though to be honest since he took over Matchroom. They weren't in the forefront like they are now in British Boxing.

        Good for him.
I'm always excited for the major cards he puts up (unless it concerns Kell Brook) and will continue to do so. Hell, Groves/Froch is a great domestic showdown

Barker and Murray definitively have to fight each other. I think Macklin is having a comeback fight sometime before the end of the year. Andy Lee and Macklin are both promoted by Lou Di Bella so that's an easy fight to make. The winners should fight each other so we can find out who the best British/Irish middleweight really is.

          British/Irish Middleweight Tourney:

Barker (WBO) v. Murray & Macklin v. Lee

I was about to post the same scenario. I think it would be a solid mini-tournament.

Like mentioned above, i think it's safe to count out there 4 from fighting ggg in the foreseeable future.

Hopefully Geale will take the challenge, but i bet he takes a tune-up after this. It was a pretty draining fight for both guys.

This seems to be the most likely scenario:

Barker must next face former titleholder Felix Sturm in a mandatory defense.

"We've got the Sturm mandatory," Hearn said. "We're happy to make that fight with Sturm."

Hearn said he would push for the fight to take place in London in December and has no intention of taking Barker to Germany, Sturm's home country, where he is a major star and has gotten the judges' benefit of the doubt in some controversial decisions.

"We'll look for that fight with Sturm, but then, obviously, in the new year we'll sit down with [Geale promoter] Gary Shaw, who will be co-promoting with us moving forward, and we'll talk about a rematch with Daniel Geale."

Who wouldn't want to see that?

Barker could fight Sturm in London in December 2013 and then rematch Geale early next year. Murray could also be an option, he seemed interested in fighting Barker for the IBF belt.
