Well atleast one good result for British boxing, and yup, tremendous how he got up from that body shot, nice to see how much it meant to him too at the end.

This world title victory will echo in British Boxing history.

This will be remembered as the day that Barker got off the floor as an underdog and won the world title in a razor close, back and forth, brutal fight and all for his late brother.

Great day for Darren and a great day for Britian.

He's our first MW Champion for a while.

I'd much rather see Martinez pass the torch (which is what most assume will happen here in the near future) to someone he hadn't previously KO'd. It will give the impression that he was simpy past it and Barker caught him in the twilight of his career.

I thought this fight was more entertaining than Bradly-Prov and Rios-Alvarado II because it was competitive in every single round. It had a ton of back and forth drama.

          Come at me bro.

Tremendous heart by both guys but one guy wanted it just a lil bit more. Cong**** to Barker, Martinez and Kovalev. Three newly crowned champions in one day.

great fight, Darren showed heart and determination I didn't know he had. Still can't believe that he survived the 6th rd.

                    I'm not sure I follow.

Are you implying that the fight wasn't close?

Not only that, he came back stronger in the same round!

                      Great stuff.
