Floyd will change his tune if Canelo knocks him out, he will be crying for a showdown with the shot and washed up Pacquiao similar to how Roy Jones Jr stopped being greedy and cherry picking when he got knocked out and finally had a legit loss, after that he challenged everyone and even fought overseas.

Excellent point. Wouldn't surprise me at all.Floyd will change his tune if Canelo knocks him out, he will be crying for a showdown with the shot and washed up Pacquiao similar to how Roy Jones Jr stopped being greedy and cherry picking when he got knocked out and finally had a legit loss, after that he challenged everyone and even fought overseas.Comment

Okay bro lets test your logic. Was Floyd forcing Pac to fight Marquez 4 times? And what was Floyd's motives for paying off the Bradley judges? More importantly is Floyd keeping Mares and Donaire from happening? What about Rios and Maidana when will they fight? Marquez and Mathisse... Garcia and Bradley... Mares and Garcia... Will Rigo be fighting Mares any time soon? So tell me genius why is Floyd holding up the Pac fight? One man is creating this mess and the more you let him off the hook the more boxing fans worldwide suffer.Comment

Considering all the games that Arum/Team Pacquiao played with him regarding this fight and all the deception and disrespect that came along with it, I think I would feel the same way as Floyd if I was in his position. He's already destroyed Marquez (who is #2 behind Floyd in this era and the guy who most people think beat Pacquiao at least 3 times) so the fight would do very little for him from a career standpoint. Let's not forget that Pacquiao and Arum had zero interest in taking him on when Floyd offered a 50-50 split and then $40 million, so now that Pacquiao is on his last legs and has no leverage, I see no reason for Floyd to treat him any differently. Karma is a b*tch and the fight doesn't hold much weight now anyway. MP had his chance and blew it.
The idea that Pacquiao would beat Mayweather is nearly extinct and he hasn't had an impressive performance in a long time. People will complain but I think if we were in Floyd's shoes most of us would feel the same. I'm much more keen to see him take on Canelo and the Garcia-Matthysse winner and let's be honest, if he did face Pacquiao most of these people saying he should still fight him would be complaining about him taking on a guy coming off two losses (even if you don't count Bradley, it's still 2 because of the 3rd JMM robbery). And they'd also be saying that he's ducking the guys who he's going to fight instead. He's always in a no-win situation with you silly haters.Last edited by JK1700; 08-17-2013, 01:25 PM.Comment

Its obvious Floyd never wanted to fight him. also all his fans keep living off the past and the first negotiations move away from that ****, thats old news, Pacman agreed to everything else and Floyd still wouldn't budge and only an idiot would accept a 40 million flat fee with no ppv knowing you are a huge star yourself.Since the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, Pacquiao and Mayweather talks have gone like this:
Bradley gets a SD against Pacquiao.
Mayweather: Pacquiao's lost to Bradley. He gotta avenge his defeat if he wants to fight me.
Pacquiao: Clearly a robbery - we'll go for the next most lucrative fight: Marquez IV.
Pacquiao gets KO'd
Mayweather: Pacquiao's old, washed up, why should I fight him? He got knocked out. He needs to sign to Mayweather Promotions to fight me.
Pacquiao: If I'm old and washed up, fight me, beat me; easy money.
Mayweather: I change my mind. Pacquiao's never going to get a fight!
Seriously. Why is Mayweather still bringing this fight up?
Oscar and Tyson had losses and still drew.
Floyd can't time guys who move too much. Look at how he got hit he most against Cotto Floyd had his worst accuracy against a shot and past it cotto. When Cotto got on his feet and moved a lot Floyd was looking confused, and got popped with jabs, if only Cotto had prime Pacman's stamina and speed.Comment

Actually for most of us, we saw the consistency a long time ago ... and that is that deep down, Floyd never really wanted to fight Manny from DAY 1 ..... It always appeared that he was being forced to fight someone who he didn't want to take the risk against .....
it's just that he made it so crystal clear this time that even the die-hard, protect Floyd at all costs, will get finally get it. Well, there will still be a few of them that will still defend this but that is what it is .....Comment
