what a solid interview. Like this guy even more now, just hope he doesn't retire at 33. And no wonder him and maidana don't wanan fight, i hope they don't ever fight either, there are so many other foes out there for him

Trolling and ****-riding... 2 pathetic talents that u have masteredAt 15:19 seconds, show me where Garcia is worried?
Even the commentators know Garcia is thumpin his heart and saying "I AM #1"
Again, I think Lucas needs to stay off the fanboy forum.
Fanboys got shook and they projected their OWN fears onto a professional fighter known for never doubting himself. Somehow, this got turned into Danny be scared.
Basic psychology of the impressionable spectator/fanboy.
"That was scary... a sneaky rabbit punch in the clince, followed by a ref stoppage!!!!!" < Come on now kids.Comment

Most people on here would pick Matthysse to win but from that interview it sounds like Marcos has his number.Comment

I think he lost to Maidana at a stage when he was a very different fighter. He said many times how thankful he is for those "loses" he had. Seeing how they stole those fights helped him find a new drive to destroy his opponent.
Like Monzon, opponents are just thieves looking to steal from his daughter... and Matthysse loves his daugther very much.
It says a lot of how he fights when he explains he hardly recognizes himself when watching videos of his fights. The guy goes up there to kill or be killed, thus the impressive KOs we've seen. On the meantime Garcia is at another stage in life with daddy issues, gangsta fashion clothes and bling, trash talking and hiphop. He's not the soul crushing monster that Matthysse is.
The KO is guaranteed, and Garcia will be flat on the canvans when the Machine goes after him. Lucas knows it. Danny knows it. Angel knows it. Hell, even most of his girly fans know it too and that's why they've got their panties all in a bunch.Comment

Another insight into how other boxers from deprived country had to jump through shet to get a chance to become who they are today. This is one of the reasons other countries have mentally tougher athletes or boxers. Countries like the Philippines, Argentina etcComment

Monzón said that, but there was a real murderer inside him. Monzón life was full of violence from start to finish. He was a killer on the ring and in life. He beat his first wife, murdered his last one and went to jail. When he got a permission to go out in weekends, he died in a car accident.I think he lost to Maidana at a stage when he was a very different fighter. He said many times how thankful he is for those "loses" he had. Seeing how they stole those fights helped him find a new drive to destroy his opponent.

Matthysse's life has been totally different and I don't think he has that murderer / self-destruction drive Monzón had and made him a truly assassin on the ring.Comment
