Clev for me still, he has a good chin and a decent workrate. He needs to be careful not to get hit too often/much against Kov doe. If not he would get cracked tonight.

Kovalev fought journeymen and tomato cans. What about Cleverly

British fans hyping another mediocre fighter?Hmmmm I've never seen it before. But the hype ends today, and it won't be pretty.
Well... that's not exactly what happened though was it? Jurgen Braehmer dropped out not once, but twice against Clev, the last time very late in the process and was stripped by the WBO so Clev, the mandatory could fight for the vacant title, which was the only right thing to do at the time and something other bodies (WBC, Vitali) should take a look at and follow. Cleverly has since tried numerous times to get Braehmer in the ring, but Jurgen just doesn't fancy the job.

Decent workrate? He's got excellent workrate for a LHW, he threw almost 1000 punches against Krasniqi, and kept a nice average throughout the rounds. From what I've seen so far, he also has an excellent chin. I don't believe he was ever down in the amateurs or pros. And he's got balls.

But so does Kovalev, which is why this fight, for me, is better than Geale-Barker. But luckily we can watch both.

He looks scary. A GGG at LHW.

          21-0 WITH 19 KO.

He has fought against 20 different fighters and KTFO'd 19 of them.

WOW - The guy beat Boone!! 18 losses and 19 wins. BEAST. Haha. Kovalev can ****, no doubt about that, but please don't big his resume up. Because it is not THAT good. In fact, if anything, Clev's is a tat better.

And don't say Kovalev ruined Campillo. He was not the same Campillo who fought Cloud and barely threw a punch in the fight. Unfit and unmotivated.

KOV looks like an extra from Game of Thrones. Old and mean, and much to everyones surprise dies horribly halfway through the episode.

The Boone fight was to prove how far along that he has come since getting American training. He struggled vs Boone in his first fight, who has always been the Ross Purity-Everett Martin type trail horse for 168-175 lbers.Ask Adonis Stevensen about Boone. He KTFO'd him in second fight.Campillo was a world class fighter who was smothered.

Cleverly can fight and deserved that WBO Title as Jurgen pussied out of fighting him. He has a solid resume with wins over Bellow and Tommy K who are both good fighters. Murat is over-rated but Krisniqi was decent.I like Cleverly a lot but he will fight the wrong fight tonight and get KTFO'd.Nathan has balls and that will cost him vs KOvalev.

He's exactly like Ross Purrity - nothing special and loses every time he steps up. With regards to Campillo, I just can't agree. He was nowhere near his best on the night, but good name to have on your resume.

If Cleverly can in fact "weather the storm" early on, he's gonna out box this guy. Maybe Kovalev makes a believer out of me, but I'm just not seeing what everyone else is apparently seeing in this dude.

As if winning a title from a euro-bum like Jurgen Braehmer is any better than winning a vacant title.

Plus I think he was referring more to the consistently crappy level of competition he has faced as champion, not just his joke of a title fight. He hasn't defended his belt against one worthy opponent in any of his 5 defenses.

I don't need you to defend me you xenophobic moron.

But yes, I was referring to Cleverly's level of opposition.
