U.S. Cellular Field, Chicago - Andrzej Fonfara knocked out Gabriel Campillo in the ninth round of their light-heavyweight bout in Chicago on Friday night. More than 10,000 spectators attended the first outdoor stadium card in more than 50 years in the city and saw first-class action.

Fonfara was probably behind on points when he rocked Campillo with a solid right in the eighth. He immediately went on the attack when the ninth began and finished the job a minute and 37 seconds into the round.

The victory earned him the IBF’s No 1 ranking and improved his professional record to 24-2, including 14 knockouts. Campillo’s dropped to 22-6-1, with 9 short-cut wins. [Click Here To Read More]

The "historic night" was provided by the Chicago stadium venue, of course.

One of if not the best FNF Card of the season. Great matches, Great Venue, Great Crowd, and I do not care what everyone thinks of Atlas, he along with Joe T are top commentators and made the show that much more exciting.

10,000 is a solid number. Chicago is certainly a city that boxing needs to reinvest in.

Campillo's punch resistance is down to zero now. No power and no punch resistance, he is history. Unable to punch or take a punch leaves a fighter with nowhere to turn.

Fonfara was a beast , im glad he knocked out Campillo. I also thought the score cards were closer than Teddy's 6-1 at the beginning of the 8th.

A beast? I like him but Campillo was schooling his ass the whole fight. Teddy's scorecard was right on point, he didnt win a round other then the 1st
