Right so u think a shot Cotto gave Mayweather problems yet Canelo who barely won the fight against Trout deserves more credit for his win.

I think you just see things how you like to see them.

As for what I think of Mayweather vs Cotto, I can't remember too much it was a while ago but I'm pretty sure I was convinced that Mayweather fought exactly the type of fight he wanted that we saw, he wanted to be on the ropes, he wanted to be inside and wanted a brawl, I think it just looked awkward because it wasn't the typical Mayweather we're used to, but I'm sure that fight he tried to make a statement that he could fight inside the pocket with Cotto, and personally I'm pretty sure he could've finished Cotto towards the end if he wanted to.

But to round off my opinion I think maybe Canelo was a victim of hype and people expected bigger things from him, He got the win and that's all that counts for now, moving on to sept 14th fast and it'll be exciting to see how he's progressed.

I was never really into Trout as a fighter, even after he beat Cotto. Not really a fan of his style. So no, im not one of those guys.

I watched the Cotto vs Trout fight and I had Trout winning 118-110. He completley demolished Cotto in a much more impressive fashion than Mayweather, yes people will say Cotto was shopworn etc but nontheless it was a great victory for him.

Canelo may have gassed a bit but he hardly got hit, he will have to throw more punches against Mayweather if he wants to get the win imo. But back to the performance against Trout, he showed some really impressive lateral and head movement, phenomenal at times, his punches were hard and accurate, every shot he hit Trout with that wasn't a jab looked like it took some gas out of Trout. The open scoring in my opinion ruined this fight, but to conclude my thread.... people basing Canelo's chances against Floyd based off of this fight should think twice because Trout is a lot better than people give him credit for, he's tall slick, young and has a great work rate. He would give Mayweather problems.
Yeah people praised Trout when he schooled Cotto yet when Canelo beat trout people said Trout was not that good. Damned if you do damned if you don't.

The fight was horrible. You'd think both guys were in a sparring session and Trout decided to pitty pat all night. It was pathetic

To say that Canelo was unimpressive is false IMO. It's HARD to look good against Trout; his style is awkward. I was impressed with Canelo's head movement and footwork. Hopefully he plans on throwing a lot more combinations against Floyd, though.

People like to cling to ****. A lot of guys said Canelo was a fake/duck/coward because of his limited opposition early on had to eat a lot of crow. Trout had no idea he was going to get into the ring against a guy who was a superior boxer, and had no plan B. Canelo is the real deal.

Canelo displayed tremendous improvement against Trout. He fought a top fighter in the division and looked impressive, notwithstanding the open scoring problem.

I think people are just hating on Canelo because he has it all: young superstar, good-looking, improving boxing skill, GIGANTIC snake.

It's easy to hate on the dude with everything, but I respect that he is humble and is willing to challenge himself to become better.

He gets just about enough credit, if not more.

Everyone at my house was disappointed when he couldn't finish Trout off and proceeded to look like crap do to his shit stamina.
