Yup! After he beat Trout, everybody said that's just 1 good win, Trout is all that anyway. He really lost, it was closer then that bs scoring but he (Canelo) clearly won. I remember dudes saying Trout beats everybody at 154 after the Cotto fight. After Canelo beat him, he was a bum! Lol

Canelo did use good head movement.

A lot of people thought Trout would beat Canelo pretty easy and when Canelo gets the victory all you have is excuses

Both Trout and Canelo are good fighters but neither one was impressive in that fight. Trout kept throwing lazy jabs when in previous fight he would throw consistently strong jabs. Canelo had good head movement but was throwing nothing while moving his head. Other than the KD he was not impressive and gassed more than I've seen previously. I have no doubt he'll be prepared for Mayweather but judging from his previous fights to include against Trout, he'll have to score a KO to win.

Canelo did a nice job against Trout, it wasn't perfect but I was glad that he fought a JMW. Now I'm just waiting for him to build upon that by fighting another JMW. Instead, he's fighting the best WW, which is definitely an upgrade from Matthew Hatton and Josesito Lopez.

Both fighters had lots of questions going into that fight. Trout only beat Cotto but what I took from that fight was that when Cotto was able to put some pressure on Trout and able to get on the inside, Trout appeared to not respond too well. Trout had the size and reach plus Cotto faded in the final rounds and that's all she wrote.

The open scoring was a double edged sword. It got Trout out of his game plan. Trout was being more aggressive than he planned. The only thing that was good about the open scoring for Trout was that he knew that he was losing and had to try to do something different.

Canelo had a low work rate. He fought for like 30 seconds per round and looked tired after that.

It's hard to be impressed. I actually concluded after that fight that Canelo was certainly not ready to fight Floyd. He needs time to fix his issues because some of those issues are very bad. I don't see him being able to resolve them in a few months but we will see on the 14th ......

Are you kidding? Before Trout he didnt face a top 5 jr middleweight and still had a title while fighting jr and regular welterweights and shot Cintron. Now hes a legit opponent for mayweather as he showed good headmovement and counterpunching in that fight.

                      Though it was still close
