Here's my take on a list over the greatest jabs in the history of the heavyweight division.
1. Sonny Liston (people got their teeth knocked out by his jab) - he had that jab that really smashed his opponents head back.
2. Larry Holmes - Not as powerful as Liston's but look at the Norton fight how he doubled and tripled that powerful left hand in quick succession. Nobody does that nowadays or since.
3. Prime Rid**** Bowe - Probably more powerful than Holmes' jab, but not as quick. It was a hammer, look at his fights vs Holyfield and Tyrell Biggs as an example. Even when he was fat and out of shape vs Golota he still had an awesome jab.
4. Muhammad Ali* - Probably the quickest jab in history, but thrown technically bad. He really developed his jab late in his career, as in after Liston, where he started to understand the true value of the jab. he threw it from the side, almost with side of his hand, but started to get the grasp of it just before he was put in excile.
5. George Foreman - Hugely underrated jabber. Look at his fights vs Tommy Morrison, Shannon Briggs and Michael Moorer as examples. Smashed it right in their faces, like a straight right. Also developed late in his career, as in after his comeback.
NOTE: *Ali could arguably take 3rd. And notables that missed out were Joe Louis, Lennox Lewis and Wlad 00-05.
