You can debate all you want... but will there EVER be a greater come from behind desperation KO than Mike Weaver knocking John Tate OUT (O-U-T) with only a few seconds to go in the FIFTEENTH and final round for the WBA Heavyweight championship in a fight he was HOPELESSLY behind in? Only a ROCKY movie could have such an ending THAT perfect
Greatest in the clutch???

Eubank-Watson II had a dramatic ending
Eubank got battered for eight of 11 rounds, Watson was like a man posessed that night. Eubank said he just gave up after six rounds because he knew he couldn't beat him, but he couldn't quit and had to take his beating like a man. Watson knocked down Eubank for the first time in Eubank's life in round eleven, Eubank says that when his back hit the canvas it woke him up and rejuvenated him - Eubank unexpectedly got straight back up and, with Watson standing in front of him with his hands down, Eubank launched a hellacious uppercut on Watson. Watson's head bounced viciously off the tightly pulled lower strand rope. Watson came out for round 12 but was clearly still out on his feet, and Eubank dug deep to stop him. Watson fell into a coma.
I haven't seen that tragic fight since it happened live.
Eubank went straight to hospital with severe exhaustion.Comment

JAY..picture this... 15 round fight.. Weaver is getting outboxed for 14 and a half rounds.... fight is only seconds from being over.. Tate will win and likely fight Larry Holmes afterwards.. people have turned the TV off.. allof a suden with like 15 seconds to go Weaver lands a BOMB and tate is out on impact, out as he falls like a tree to the floor. Hollywood couldn't do any better.Comment

Here's a few Vince Phillips was getting drubbed on by Tszyu from the early to mid-rounds and Phillips comes back towards the end to get the T.K.O.
I think this was Pac's best performance in his entire career(better than the rematch w/ Erika)it was against the Thai legend Sasakul, Pac was getting battered around the ring in every way imaginable. Pac never gave up the whole fight but just couldn't get anything going against the slick veteran, kept working the straight lefts throughout the fight and missing wildly with it until it finally started connecting in the last 3rds. and BOO-YAO Pac knocks the living **** out of the Thai legend in Thailand!
I prefer these kind of comebacks better than the ones who suddenly get that k.o. punch, Phillips and Pac actually had to work for their come from behind victories against formidable foes.Comment

Along with that Weaver/Tate fight, there's another one that's right up there in the dramatics...Originally posted by ICEMAN JOHN SCULLYYou can debate all you want... but will there EVER be a greater come from behind desperation KO than Mike Weaver knocking John Tate OUT (O-U-T) with only a few seconds to go in the FIFTEENTH and final round for the WBA Heavyweight championship in a fight he was HOPELESSLY behind in?
Jake Lamotta knocking out Laurent Dauthuille at 2:47 of the 15th and final round to retain the Middleweight title, after LaMotta had been well behind on the cards of all three judges.Comment

James Toney was cut against somebody I don't remember, and behind on the cards. This was when he was a super middleweight. The Ref comes over and says to Toney "I gotta stop it"
Toney says, "GIVE ME ONE MORE ROUND" and the Ref does, and Toney KO"s him to retain the title.
Can't get more clutch than that. Weaver just got a lucky punch.Comment
