People who don't box and have to make weight don't understand how it feels.

Secondly saying someone else is fine to lose and gain etc... is a joke right? Everyone has a different response with their body because we are different.

Its not ******ed logic. Its done in boxing, MMA, and wrestling all the time. Of course everyone is different, and I dont know about the Pac, Diaz example. But people cutting 10 pounds or more of fluid in the days leading into the weigh in is not uncommon. And than gaining most and than some by event time. Of course this ****s with stamina when done wrong, or when going overboard.

And from the looks of how much Canelo balloons up after weigh in, thats exactly what he does.

No. Canelo is a pro and he knows his own body. He wants to win this fight and he would not agree to 152 if he thought it would weaken him. He will make weight by drying out and then he will rehydrate and eat in the 32 hours between the weigh in and the fight. He will be the best Canelo anyone has seen yet.

Canelo won't be a dead man walking, but he will be a dead man for sure.

canelo will be fine. a lot of ppl compare him to dawson, cotto, dlh and all these guys but they are overlooking one very important and twice as obvious factor. age.

these guys are in their 30's, canelo just turned 23. metabolism slows down with age as does the bodys ability to recuperate.

several older fighters told me unless you are way under your natural weight making weight is easy when you are under 25, in some cases even on a poor diet. after that it starts getting harder and by the time you hit 30 its something entirely different.

your body hits a certain weight and just doesnt lose any more no matter what you do, you have to watch everything you eat too or it will show on the scale and be hell to get back off. at 23 thats not the case, and being 22 myself and an amateur boxer i can vouch for it myself.

theres been days when we have been working out outside and i forgot to bring water, lost over 10 pounds in a session and barely noticed. drank some water and trained the next day as if nothing happened. in fact nothing did happen, thats easy work for a young man.

also despite what TS says canelo actually looked great in that picture, he clearly can lose a bit more weight and he will cut the rest. something he always does.

Amen to that brother. I've had to lose 15lb in a short span of time in the past and rehydration just isn't the same. You feel like the strengths been sapped out of you if you don't do it right or if you go down too far and too fast. Look at RJJ, look at Dawson, look at Oscar, prime examples.

Even tho this will be the worst version of Canelo we've seen, Floyd still won't stop him.

He makes Malinaggi's power look like Foremans
