Comments Thread For: Froch's Warning: I'm Going To Punish George Groves

IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch (31-2, 22KOs) has promised to punish his mandatory challenger, stablemate George Groves (19-0, 15KOs). Their promoter Eddie Hearn is looking to put the fight together and the International Boxing Federation ordered the two of them to face each other. Froch feels disrespected by some of Groves' comments in the press. Some of those comments have grabbed Froch's attention, and not in a good way. Froch plans to punish Groves and make him regret his decision to pursue their fight.

Stylistically, George Groves is all wrong for Carl Froch. Froch is a guy who can be out boxed and if Groves has the endurance and chin, he'll win this fight. Froch was comprehensively out boxed by Dirrell. He rescued himself against Taylor, lost competitively to Kessler and was also beaten fairly by Ward.

Froch should remember pride comes before a fall. His ****iness and arrogance won't win a rematch against the best super middle ever and that's Mr Ward.

        hmmm, i agree with carl.
however, the saint is game and use his skills to good effect early on as carl is a little slow to begin with.
speed will be key and the "get in and get out" will be used to good effect if adam is doing his job.
i do feel though, if this fails...........george could get really hurt here.
it may change the man for the worse in terms of returning after what i believe will be a very heavy loss.
its too early for the saint but, tough decision for carl to either give up the belt or fight him and we all know, carl froch will fight anyone.
watch this space for that failure de"gay"le to spout his pie hole.
now that is one beating i would love to see my man carl to serve up over the full
        12 rounds.
that geezer is a complete ****.

Froch is a beast and the most exciting fighter at 168. I look for a 9th round stoppage.

I agree Froch struggles against boxers who can move and out box him, but I can't agree Ward is the best Super Middle ever that title belongs to Calzaghe you could argue Ward,Eubank,Toney could fight for the 2nd place.

Agreed with everybody saying Froch can be outboxed, but I think he'll take it to the young man and overwhelm him

Whatever happens in the fight.... Froch is still an arrogant pecker! And that's why the GB public still haven't taken to him, despite him having a resume better than most! He has a top promoter, a top trainer..... just stop being a pecker mate!
