mistake was just fighting oscar, regardless whether it was 5 years before. Junior simply isnt real with the sport, he is just using his name to make money. vales mierrrd@ julio!

Somebody should probably tell this writer that the first Chavez vs De La Hoya fight was in 1996 not 1998!

I wonder if Chavez Jr came up with this excuse himself or someone else did?

I like the random half sentence in there. The standard of writing on Boxingscene is pretty dire.

Anyway, the cut is clearly bull****.

They should just push Omar instead because Jesus isn't serious.

Brian Vera is no Oscar de la Hoya. I'm thinking he was having problems with the weight as well.

Yes Chavez Junior is the first fighter ever in the history of boxing who drops large ammounts of weight before a fight. First one ever! Nevermind there are no real reports that support your claims. Plus when has he ever come in out of shape if anything junior has always had stamina so Im not sure who exactly you are calling fat? Kids in shape his walking around weight is just much higher then your average super middleweight. He's really a LHW to be honest and just has no buisness losing that much weight.

The cut really doesn't look that bad, nothing a weekend resting and a bandaid won't fix. Seriously the fight is 4 weeks away and they think the cut won't heal in 4 weeks? What's up Top Rank, do you sign fighters who have weak eyebrows or something?
