I think Thompson is probably the best current US heavy but Jennings may be better, we just don't know until he steps up.
Wilder is the best American Heavy right now. I don't understand why people don't see the talent in this kid? I understand there are still questions to be answered about him, but he's so heavily criticized it befuddles me. Thompson wouldn't go 4 rounds with Wilder, unless he cliched and held his way thru them! Jennings isn't even worth comparing. Remember in a years time I told you that this Guy is the future ruler of the heavyweight division. The Klits have sparred this guy, he's got a very shiny record, yet they aren't dying to fight him! There's a reason! Believe me!

A step up in sort but still carefully picked... a cherry pick If you want to put it like that.

Meanwhile, Arreola's got incredible chin, borderline great power, and is an aggressive fighter who will exploit fighters who aren't top boxers. Arreola ko round 3. If Wilder does win, I'll be sold. No one outside the K's are a worse matchup stylistically for him than Arreola, so in the highly unlikely event he wins, I'll be a believer in Wilder.
Wilder has a great trainer and he's a great athlete. He fights tall and like you said has incredible power! If he stays focused, he will dominate every fighter put in front of him! I like to watch Arreola fight, he's fearless but it's that heart that's gonna get him KO'd if he fights Wilder, he likes to trade and you can't trade with Wilder! Arreola is a good boxer but his instincts are to fight and that may win the Mitchell fight but will get him hurt in the Wilder fight

I think it NEAR impossible for Mitchell-Arreola to go the distance.

How do you know though? I watched a video of a guy pummelling him yesterday.

Like you say, there are unanswered questions which will be answered once he steps up his level of competition.

Eh, the author is right about HW becoming the red headed step child of boxing. Especially compared to how it used to be the glamour division.

Wilder is bringing some excitement because he has a monster punch but there needs to be more like him to really heat things up.

What you watched didn't happen today! And that's what matters, he has improved and will continue to improve! Foreman was one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. He wasnt a great boxer! He didn't have a granite chin! But He fought tall, had stiff jab and could punch thru a wall with his right hand! Now don't confuse it, I'm not putting Wilder on Foremans level, I'm only stating that the tools he had are good ones and the same ones Wilder has, that can and I think will make him a champion
