On Monday night, BoxingScene's Salvador Rodriguez reported that Julio Cesar Chavez's fight against Bryan Vera will be pushed back to a later date because of a cut suffered while sparring. Shortly after the news broke BoxingScene.com spoke to a disappointed Vera to get an update on the situation.
"My manager is meeting with HBO about rescheduling so we will see what happens. This kid is a damn joke," Vera explained.
The Texas native said that he had been having a very strong training camp and was right on a schedule for the September 7th date. Even though a new date hasn't been determined for the fight, Vera is going to follow through with a planned sparring session tomorrow. [Click Here To Read More]
