Canelo and quite easily anybody with decent hand speed beat the brakes off of Margarito and Canelo has more power.

Margarito's work rate would overwhelm him, he doesn't have the stamina to last 12 with Margarito.

I'm not basing it off one fight, he always fights to conserve his energy because he knows he doesn't have a big tank. Canelo isn't like Floyd, he's to get touched by Tony and Margs is just going to keep coming. I don't see Alvarez hurting him, but he's very heavy handed and can throw some good counters at times.

That's a bad match up for Canelo. He doesn't have the stamina to box for all 12 rounds. Unless Canelo can muster up a KO, I think Margs wears him down and TKO's him late. I think the fight would look a lot like Cotto-Margo 1.

Canelo wears him down from body punching Margo lost to the guy yuri Forman beat for his title twice I know people don't believe in triangle theories but come on. Also Margo doesn't hold any advantage except stamina which doesn't get you very far if a guy is digging combinations to your body.

Define prime Margarita. Other than Cotto with wraps, his best win is, Cintron? Clottey? Not impressive.
Canelo only has one good win under his belt so you dont really have a lot to go off of.
This fight would come down to if Canelo can take Margarita out early or if Margarita can take this fight into the later rounds and take Canelo out when he's run out of gas. Tough call.

The Trout fight is the only fight where I seem him visibly fatigued; he's just a patient fighter I don't see Toney making him fight out of his comfort zone. Canelo would hit him whenever he threw punches.
