As much as I like to see a good fighter from the UK who is actually an Englishman, Scot or Welshman, this isn't going to end well. This guy hasn't fought anyone like Kovalev and is in for a big surprise. Kovalev is the best puncher I've seen in some time. He's like Golovkin of 175 without the hype. Cleverly cleaned up the local stiffs in Wales, but this is a different animal.

Almost here.... One more week and a Kovalevs destructive run at LHW begins. Clev looks in good shape and confident and from what he's saying this past week, he's looking for a KO and will bring the fight to Kovalev. It's going to be great while it lasts, with that being said I'm calling it right now...

Kovalev KO round 4. Cleverly will start to crumble and be on his Backfoot as soon as he feels Kovalevs power.

The only person I can see even having the slightest bit of a chance against Kovalev is Ward and he's not even in his division. Kovalev cleans this division out within the next year in a half. Book it.

I've seen limited footage of Kovalev but will definitely check some youtube vids out tonight. I've seen Cleverly a few times but I need to check out Kovalev's style.

Cleverly looks a little "light" in the toughness department but looks can be deceiving.

Everybody says Kovalev is just a brawler.
Moves around the ring well, puts combinations together very well and he's an extremely strong finisher who starts fast.

I'm not being a pessimist or a hater or anything, but how can you be confident saying that when he's faced relatively light competition? The Campillo win was great but he was no world beater himself really.

Cleverly's conditioning will be the deciding factor, imo. If he doesn't gas, I believe he can, and will out box Kovalev. If Cleverly tries to "go to war" he gets KTFO.

Kov hits hard as hell, but I also think he's a bit on the flat footed side.

                Guess we'll see.

Campillo shoulda been unified champ at LHW when kovalev fought him. He got robbed blind in two title fights in a row.

Maybe so, but as I said, it's one decent win. Saying Ward would be some kind of an under dog against him is a complete joke. No offense to anyone. Ward would toy with anyone at 168-175 in my opinion.
