It had an audience of 15 million and it was the fifth most watched event of the week? Damn! Did they have a superbowl, world series and world cup championship match in the same week that were watched by more than 15 million people?

Exactly. What's the point of this thread? More cluttering the NSB front page, can we have actual discussion threads on here? Way too much to ask, I suppose.

Yeah. Japan from what I recall is among the top world champion producing countries.

There's good money to be made out in japan and the reason we dont hear from them all down here is because they can mostly afford to stay home and bring in the comp. I suppose its surprising for people who dont follow the smallest of weight classes but they have a great tradition there and the atmosphere in some of their more famous venues is apparently amazing (cant speak from personal experience of course lol) .

It's personally towards the top of my list for one of the places I would most like to visit for an event.

Great for Boxing. They have a history in being great supporters of combat sports. Check out the MMA boom back in 2002-2005 in PRIDEFC which only went a few due to the Yakuza in 2007.
