  • Where does El Terrible go from here?

I am a fan of Morales, and think he is a legend, an assured Hall of Famer, and a credit to the sport. But with 1 win in his last four fights, it's safe to say he's on the decline.

My question here is more geared towards asking "Where does he go from here"?

How much does he have left, and what is in store for him should he return?

    Does he win another title?

Does he come back at 135 and contend?

    Does he retire?

Does he come back and lose fights appearing as a shadow of his former self?

I want to hear what you think is left in Morales' future.

Hey dude. Much as your fighter didn't respect Pac after the first fight, I believe he still has some steam left in his engine.
But at 135 and not 130. Erik's not done yet.

IMO, a pfight with pac really isn't necessary... he can't make weight anymore... pac can't and won't go to 135... so erik has a lot to prove at lightweight still

I was talking to somebody else about this.I said i thought erik is done, and they disagreed and said erik could still school the likes of corrales like he did he did Guty Espadas (and this person is a fan of both Pac and Erik)

But i dont see it.Im sure erik's skill is still there, but his body his reflexes are slowing down i think. As much as i would like for morales to go out on a high note,I would hate to see him lose as bad as he did to Paquiao again.Erik seems like such a vibrant fighter so its sad to see that he's not the same fighter anymore underneath all that.I hope he retires,he had a great run.

But realisticaly i think he'll have one more fight against a good opponent, probably lose and then definetly retire.Like if he fought Chavez again,I would expect Erik to lose this time. All i really want from erik beyond this point is to see him go out without taking so much punishment.

I give Erik 2 fights to get back in the groove, MAB did it before when he lost to Pacquiao, Marco re-established himself after 2 fights ...

MAB re-established himself fighting a washed-up Ayala, a noob Fana and a bum sparmate Peden.

Do you think Morales will stoop that low just to get back?

I don't think he will risk his reputation and do a Barrera-***** move.

If ever Morales comes back, it will either be with PAC or with Corrales or someone big.

The difference with Morales and Barrera is that the former is a warrior and the latter is a *****.

Morales would be knocked unconscious by Corrales. That would be a horrendous end to a great career.
Don't fool yourself into believing he could outbox Corrales....Corrales would walk him down, & walk right through him. Morales would not stand up to Corrales' bombs.

actually the fight which re-established Marco was the fight against Erik ...

a fight with either or both JMM and MAB is what I am thinking of...

He should retire and become a trainer.
