To me whoever wins deserves a shot at Floyd. Floyd will most likely beat Canelo which doesn't destroy the young kids career but he definitely won't be as popular. As far as Matty and Danny either or deserves the shot if they win. Floyd still has 4 fights to go. Matthyse, Khan, Thurman, Pacquiao is how I see it shaking out.

Assuming Floyd wins, (which he has given himself a weight advantage to ensure). I wonder if Danny/Lucas would have to fight at the full 147, or would Floyd meet them halfway?? Hopefully he can meet them halfway now that he's the reigning catchweight king.

He will fight them at the full Welterweight limit, they're not really in a position to negotiate. In any case, both fighters will more than likely re-hydrate to a weight that is greater than Floyd's on the night of the fight.

Matthysse is now the real deal. He's a much better fighter than he was 2 or 3 years ago. More reason why Floyd won't fight either.... he'll pull that old card out of his pocket and say he owes light hitting Devon Alexander a fight...

the reining catchweight kingand highest paid athlete can fight anybody he wants and does'nt have to meet anybody halfway for any weight. if they don't want to come in under floyd money mayweather's terms. then they can go fight somebody else and make less money. comprende?

As much as I like Mathysse and I know he's gonna destroy Mr. Garcia's little boy I don't want him to fight Mayweather, Floyd will dance circles around him all night and make him look foolish like he did Ghost, Mathysse will just chase him trying to land that one punch that will never land. Mayweather is just too fast for him.

With all of these fighters walking around 15 - 20 pounds over their fighting weights, I don't see a problem with Floyd coming down to 140 or they meet somewhere in between 140 and 147. That's what they are doing for the Canelo fight. They are meeting at a agreed upon weight, which is closer to the 154 weight class. I say make the fight happen, if it can happen because there are not many fights left, unless Pac dominates Rios and maybe avenge one of his defeats in a dominating fashion. Floyd is not a 154 pound fighter. He is way too small to be fighting in the weight class. It's no difference than when Roy Jones fought at heavyweight. He wasn't a real heavyweight fighter, regardless of what strap he held.

Juanma Lopez was reportedly weighing 155lbs, so should Floyd consider a fight with him? I see the reasoning behind your statement but its flimsy at best. Do you really believe that Matthysse would dominate the Middleweight Division just because he walks around at 160Lbs? Its what you weigh in the Ring that matters.
However, your statement that Floyd is not a true JrMiddleweight is hard to argue. There is no question that Mayweather has the skillset to stay at 154lbs but he will always be considered small, like how Pacman is considered a small Welterweight. Is that comparable to RoyJonesJr fighting at heavyweight? Not really and not sure why it was brought up.
But you failed to understand the question. If Floyd beats Canelo in impressive fashion, does a hard hitting JrWelter have a chance? Mind you that Canelo is a big hard hitting Jr Middle, who also walks around about 15-20lbs heavier than the Jr Middleweight limit. It would be different if Floyd Mayweather were just an average fighter like Pacman or Broner but this is mother***ing MoneyMay.

If by some strange twist of fate Canelo gets a win on the 14th, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Floyd - Broner fight...Floyd will have lost his invincible aura, and there's not enough air in the room for him and Adrien to be spitting the same kind of game.
Broner vs Mayweather is the fight I'd most like to see in boxing, (with Ward vs GGG a close second).

This got Billy Blanco from the Bronx vs Carlito written all over it lol I think regardless of what this fight will happen. The more Broner build his brand the more this fight will happen. Floyd already taking shots at AB on the calm. I think after he beats Maidana his head will be bigger than it already is and the public (not boxing fans) but the ppl who actually pay for fights the casuals will want it. But Floyd aint going out like Carlito if this fight happens
