Did you watch that fight? There was nothing 'clear' about Mares' win, it was extremely close, both in the fight and with the way the scorecards should have been. I can't remember my scorecard but I either had a draw or perhaps one round either way.

Moreno is a really beautiful boxer, there cannot be many fighters around today that slip punches better than him. I really want to see him attempt to unify the division.

I would love to see a fight between him and Rigondeaux. Two great defensive counter punchers. I like Moreno for his Whitaker like style more so, and think he could prove a real challenge.

So many good fights that could be made with the champs at 118 and 122, but probably won't. Great, great fighters there.

I mean the scoring was debatable in the fight. Moreno damn near swept the second half and on neutral ground had a case for winning. One idiot judge had it a shutout. Two others had it 8-4. Thought it was closer than that but that was somewhat reasonable given the number of close rounds.

        Great fight between great fighters.

Very under-rated for sure. I sincerely believe he's one the best all around fighters for the last couple decades. Boy gives great work rate in fights but just feather-fisted.

I would also like to see him vs Rigo, but in the post fight interview Moreno showed no interest in 122, he said he will stay at 118 for a while.

Rigo can easily move down to 118. In fact, it's probably his natural weight.

Yeah man, I totally agree! Beating champions like Vic Darchinyan, Nehomar Cermeno, Lorenzo Parra, Wladimir Sydorenko, Mahyar Monshipour, Tomas Rojas etc and doing it easier than anyone else was beating them is totally unjust compared to Americans like Devon Alexander, Andre Berto, Keith Thurman and Adrien Broner who are annihilating amazing, elite level opposition and just getting no hype or exposure for their work.

It's a disgrace the amount of big money fights and recognition this guy has been getting compared to American fighters like those above, who have been beating huge names and taking hard fights without the slightest praise or just dues. For crying out loud, he's only beaten a bunch of the best champs and names at 118 over the last 5/6 years, made 12 defenses and held the title for over 5 years! 12 defenses! lol! broner, Berto and Devon have nearly made that many combined defenses between them and Malignaggi, Soto Karass and Bailey are like p4p level dudes! Why should he have one small article written about him while Americans like Berto and Broner were getting paid millions to fight on HBO against really tough, hard champions that were huge risks? Really sucks man.

Unlike Broner risking everything to move up and fight the hardest and best, this guy just tried to cherry pick another title by moving up and taking on Mares, but it backfired! Lol! Pwn! LAMO!

USA USA USA USA! **** yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh!!!

That's fine with me TBH. There are a lot of great fights at 118 that could be made. Whether they ever will is another story, they probably won't, but we can hope.

Moreno vs Yamanaka or Kameda are brilliant fights.

That may not be a bad idea for him. There is a lot of quality opposition at BW.
