If you stand there and think you are going to counter him, he'll pick you apart with quick shots before you have a chance to move. He is good at not letting you see when he is going to punch and you get hit before you know what's happening.

You have to get off first but provide movement and combination punching to keep Floyd stuck in defense mode. It's much easier for him to counter your efforts if you only throw one punch at a time.
I picked Mayweather but you are right Canelo is fast enough to catch Floyd. He probably has some of the best combinations today and all his punches are consistent. What I mean is his first punch is just has hard as the 8th punch of a combination.

The major concern for Canelo, imo, is his stamina. HE hasn't really shown that he could go a hard 12 rounds and seems to just fight at a singular pace.

If Canelo wants to win he's going to have to adapt during the fight because his 1st plan most likely won't work. It's on him to adapt to what Mayweather is doing. Most guys that fight Mayweather only have one plan, then when it doesn't work it's just a foregone conclusion that Mayweather will win.

I don't think any roadwork any roadwork can help his stamina. I'm sure he trains really hard but I think it has more to do with his body frame. He's a big kid and probably has to lose a lot of weight to make the weight.

Keep relating the Trout fight to Mayweather.

A whole lotta people discounting Canelo here but I thinkhe has a real good chance. He'll be too big and too young for Floyd. Floyd is only human. Father time catches up with the best of fighters, and it often comes when you don't see it coming. Everyone has been totally worshipping Floyd since the fight with the bum Guerrero but Floyd is in a bigger decline than people realise. He was busted up by Cotto in rounds and was troubled by Victor Ortiz before he broke down mentally... Canelo is mentally strong, physically a lot bigger boned and has big punching power and underrated handspeed, Floyd is a lot less light on his feet at 150 + so stop using the Guerrero fight as a reference to him not losing his agility...

Yeah Betro used Mayweather's style with Guerrero, and Shane sparred Oscar using his style, and we see how those went.

LOL you are funny GGG hasn't fought anyone with the ring intellect and defensive superiority of a Floyd Money Mayweather. GGG and his teams are busy having doubts on fighting stevens.

Floyd may not have the charisma of those you mention, but his personality sells and sells good the highest pay boxer of all time. in other words he doesn't need charisma to sell.

Argue all you want but come Sept 14th a majority of NSB will change their tunes and agree that Canelo is the new King of boxing.
