IDK what to say about Juanma at this point. He made a ****** decision to fight Mikey, but at least he got stopped early and didn't take a prolonged beating. If he plans on continuing, he should take his career seriously and stop ballooning up in weight. Fight a tune-up, then fight guys who don't have much power (Buckland, Magdaleno).

This thread represents everything that is wrong with boxing fans. The media has conditioned them to pounce as soon as a fighter shows any weakness. Why? well the first reason is jealousy, the need many have for schandenfreud....JUan Ma has probably accomplished more in the ring that most anyone posting in this thread so when he falters? all the haters gonna hate right? make oneself look good when one can hear the body hit the pavement from that fall from grace...

The second reason is how the media has decided that when a fighter has a rough outing? or a bad streak? or looks bad in a fight or two or three? they are washed up. Unfortunately that is BULL****. Many fighters rebound.

Fact is Juan Ma was a great looking prospect, and while he probably won't be a great, he could make a career like Nando did...if he wins a couple he can get back in the game. His punching power is phenominal and he can learn a few things from his loses.

Give the guy a break! Don't all be such media *****es and haters ok?

Retire dude, unless he is going to fight a bunch of bums he can KO.

              He has no balance

                Lopez can't take punches anymore
and he doesn't have the defense to avoid punches either
the guy is used up and will get KO'd by any good fighters in his range
he can make money feasting on so so fighters, but he's otherwise done

His reflexes are gone, his timing is nonexistent and he's punchy. Bad idea.

He will always have that punchers chance but he seems to have lost alot in such a short period of time. Maybe changing his team and trainer and taking a new approach can be something to motivate him but as of right now, its hard to imagine him getting back to where he was at.
