You're right. Both Abner Mares and Andre Ward have talk the talk and walk the walk and I give them much credit for it. However, since when has boxing becoming a popularity contest? It's not about popularity. It's about who can generate the most excitement and entertainment in a sport and that captivates the boxing public. if Broner wasn't a good fighter but a tomato, then no one will pay attention to a single word he has to say. The only reason he gets noticed because he's good and can fight and back up what he is saying. If not, then what he has to say would be totally irrelevant to boxing fans. Moreover, having a likeable personality doesn't guarantee selling tickets, filling up arenas and generating revenue but constantly winning bouts and having a crowd pleasing style does. Lastly, Adrien's reluctance in wanting to challenge Mayweather may have something to do with him sharing the same management team of Al Haymon and plus he is his role model and idol too.

First up they have to get Maidana in the ring. Matthysse should be out of the way after the Garcia fight. Then we can get Broner/Thurman if Guerrero doesn't beat his ass first.Comment

I understand all of that but he is not fighting Floyd Mayweather, Jr. anytime soon. So he should get his chance to prove his stuff against Adrien Broner much sooner than later. If Mayweather wins his bout against Saul Alvarez, then he will most likely challenge the winner of the IBF title elimination bout between Amir Khan and Devon Alexander for a unification bout to be tentatively scheduled for sometime in May of 2014; Especially if Amir Khan is the winner. However, If Lucas continues to be successful in the ring, then he should expect a Mayweather bout sometime as early in the late Summer of 2014.Comment

You don't make any sense. Matthysse fans and *******s are the ones who spout ****** ****. You honestly have dudes on here who are PAC fans saying floyd ducked a prime margacheato. Atleast broner fans keep it real, broner and garcia stacking that bread and I love em for that. **** y'all haters hating on grown ass men.
Garcia on the other hand, he seems like a pretty likeable and level headed dude. I think a lot of people tend to associate him with his ridiculous father, which makes sense, but they are clearly very different people.Comment

So is that an argument against PM usually fighting everybody tough? My post wasn't about who he won or loss against...just saying Khan beat him easy but he fought Cotto & Hatton tough...Cotto (then & now) still whoops Amir imo.Comment

Once again, Broner and Garcia fans have the weirdest reasons to be fans of theirs. Someone said "Broner and Garcia are stacking their bread and I love them for that", hahahaha! That's some really weird feminine stuff. To idolize someone just cause they have more money then them is just sad.Comment

I really don't think that last sentence applies to Broner, the way he conducted himself during that Steve Farhood interview was far from mature. He has some skills, nobody can really dispute that, but he's pure trash as a human being. There is nothing likeable about his personality at all. I don't understand how anyone can find Broner cool, though I guess I just don't understand the young'ins.
