In other news it's funny how the WBC supposedly doesn't allow unifications but still allows some fighters to hold more than one sanctioning belt.
Ex: Garcia (WBA/WBC) and Canelo(WBA/WBC), but not Andre Ward(WBA)/(WBC stripped).
Broner is also being allowed to hold on to his WBC LW title, even though he just won the WBA WW title Sergio always wanted Chavez Jr. He was never going to do anything to endanger getting that fight.

They could have fought in a non-title fight. I'm sure Pirog wouldn't have objected to keeping his belt win or lose. The fact of the matter is that Lou DiBella used a laundry list of weak excuses which didn't even include this one. They should have fought, it was the best fight at 160 at the time.
