They just want to see where his hands are at now.....remember he broke one and I think injured the other one in his last fight.

LOL @ Being an opponent for someone to test out a bum hand on.
The thing is, he has bad hands, really bad hands. There is a good chance he might break one again tonight, against someone who will do nothing for him. So is he going to keep breaking them on no-hopers or start breaking them on real opponents?

His hands are not going to get better, they are something he will have to adjust around, like not putting as much steam on his shots

That is dumb logic. Of course injuries can get better/worse. Plus, you have no idea of how bad his injured hand is. Relax.

Everytime there's a threat Russell pulls out of the fight either fight someone or just go away

This is my last excuse for Gary Russell but this fight is to just see how his hand injury has progressed. It's not like he's getting a big purse or headlining anything so I'm cool with it.

But he better be in the ring with a top 10 opponent before the close of the year.

That's always the excuse. He keeps having hand problems. I guess his whole career will consist of TBA's.

I don't see Floyd or Paulie fighting TBA's.

It's a shame that his career hasn't moved anywhere. I've heard that his hands are paper machet. If that's the case he should think about retirement. Fighting an opponent of this calibur now does nothing but keep him in the gym
