Great...more poser, new jack "fans" that love how a guy looks and his shiny spray-on-gold-record. Hoo-ray.

      A good point.

However, I want the division to be the premier one. Not to the point where people are just marvelling at the physique of a fighter and not his skill level.

He has basically been knocking out a bunch C+ boxers with his wild telegraphed punches inside three rounds.

Tonight he's up against the biggest test so far in his career. Liakhovich is still a solid boxer and never been stopped early. I wouldn't call this a mis-match because of the fact that none of us know exactly how good or terrible Wilder is. Let's see what Wilder brings to the tabel tonight.
I agree. This is Wilder's first test. Winning tonight doesn't prove that he's a contender but it will be his first test against a good fighter. (Even if that fighter is several years past his prime.)

lets see him in there with ... chisora, helenius, pulev, scott, thompson, fury ... hell even david price would make for an interesting bust up. There's plenty of options a few levels above the guys he's fighting now, go through two or three of them and then lets see a klit fight
I agree with this^^^^^^ I can't wait for the next american heavy weight champ but their taking him a little to slow, step up the opposition already.

He does look like a real strong beast

I love this guy. I LOVE HIM. He's exactly how a Heavyweight Champion SHOULD look like.
Boxing isn't a bodybuilding contest, pecker. The hype job would get straight killed by either klitschko.

Of course he wouldn't beat the Klits but from a physical standpoint just like Wlad Wilderlooks the part. This is how we want our HW champion to look like. Big strong and athletic...

his punches are so telegraphed though. I dont think those punches will be effective against the better defensive fighters. hes going to need to shorten them up unless he wants to be another sam peter
